About Me
Hi, I’m Osazuwa Emmanuel Osalotioman, a second-year Mathematics student at the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. I am also a full-stack web developer with a passion for creating functional and user-friendly websites.
Web Development Journey
Most of my development work is done using my phone. Websites are easier to code on mobile devices, and this unique approach has shaped my workflow. As a full-stack developer, I work with technologies such as:
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- React and jQuery for front-end development
- PHP and SQL for back-end development
Among my projects, two stand out as achievements I’m particularly proud of:
- NCPC: This project, created with assistance from GitHub user daves-hub, has been used by others and received valuable feedback.
- Lecture Notes: A platform I built for sharing and organizing lecture notes, which has also been well-received.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of creating something that others find useful. The feedback I’ve received motivates me to keep improving and learning.
Competitive Programming and Open Source
In my free time, I participate in competitive programming challenges on Codeforces, sharpening my skills in algorithms and problem-solving. I also contribute to open-source projects on GitHub, collaborating with developers worldwide and learning from their expertise.
Love for Reading
When I’m not coding, I immerse myself in novels. I have a particular fondness for science fiction, with favorites including:
- Blake Crouch’s *Upgrade*, *Dark Matter*, and *Recursion*
- *The Hail Mary Project*
- *A Remembrance of Earth’s Past* trilogy by Liu Cixin
Beyond science fiction, I’ve also enjoyed classics like the *Harry Potter* series, *Alice in Wonderland*, and *Peter Pan*. I’ve explored mystery and thrillers through James Patterson’s *Roses Are Red* and *Violets Are Blue*, as well as Agatha Christie’s *And Then There Were None*. Each book offers a unique escape and sparks my imagination in different ways.
Closing Thoughts
Life at the University of Benin has been everything I imagined, though it hasn’t unfolded exactly how I envisioned it. This site is a platform where I share my projects, experiences, and interests. Feel free to explore the 'Projects' tab or reach out to connect. Thank you for stopping by!
